CRENSHAW : Public Invited to Perform at Mall

International Black Writers and Artists will host “Reading, Writing and Rap,” an open performance and presentation of rap, poetry, drama, dance and visual art, on March 13 in the community room of Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.

Participants of all ages are welcome. Sign-ups begin at 2:45 p.m. Performers will be limited to six minutes and must supply their own music or other accompaniment. Cassette players and microphones will be provided.

The 3 p.m. show is free and open to the public.

International Black Writers and Artists is a Los Angeles-based national organization that helps writers and other artists with creative and business aspects of the arts, including publishing, representation, self-promotion and performance.
