World IN BRIEF : BRITAIN : Mortar Shells Fired Toward Heathrow

Four mortar shells were fired toward Heathrow Airport from a car after warnings were telephoned in the name of the Irish Republican Army, but police said none of the shells exploded. A scheduled Concorde flight from New York touched down on the targeted runway 17 minutes before the attack, officials confirmed.
