Hits Magazine Tip of the Week There’s more music industry chatter over PolyGram Diversified Entertainment President John Scher’s upcoming Woodstock concert, scheduled for Aug. 13 and 14. Current buzz has Metallica, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Peter Gabriel, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Guns N’ Roses and Pearl Jam inked for the shows. Rumor also is that offers are going out to Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M. and Soundgarden. Even more conjecture surrounds a Woodstock album and motion picture, with industry insiders saying the album will be released on A&M; records and the film through Propaganda Films.
