Sellers Can Get Help From Pros at Saturday’s Fair

Share

Even though the housing market is warming up in many Southland communities, selling a home is still a tremendous challenge. But savvy advice can make it less of an ordeal.

At the fifth annual Times’ Home Buyers and Sellers Fair, sellers will get tips from experts on how to best present their home in a sluggish real estate market. And they can learn what the pros think about how the Northridge earthquake will affect home sales and prices in the region.

The one-day consumer education event, the largest of its kind in the country, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Times’ “Starting Out” columnist Dian Hymer, author of “Buying and Selling a Home in California,” will conduct a special workshop for sellers on how to price their homes, prepare the home for sale and closing the deal. Joining her will be Dan Lieberman, co-author of “Getting the Most for Your Home in a Down Market.”
