Pollution Device to Be Used in Asthma Treatment

Share

Pollution Research and Control Corp., a Glendale maker of air-pollution monitoring devices, said it has tentatively agreed with a London-based medical firm to supply its technology for a new application: diagnosing and determining treatment for asthma.

Under the proposed agreement, Pollution Research would sell its technology and equipment to the British firm, which it would not name. The British company would then repackage the equipment and market the instruments to hospitals and doctors. Pollution Research said the new instruments would be a cost-effective, non-invasive alternative to diagnosing the degree of inflammation in asthma patients.
