SAN GABRIEL : Sobriety Checkpoint for St. Patrick’s Day
The San Gabriel Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight as part of a countywide effort to prevent the drinking that often accompanies St. Patrick’s Day from causing traffic fatalities.
Under the terms of a grant received by the department from the California Office of Traffic Safety, “we’re required to put on one a month, and this worked out real well,” said Captain Richard Arnold.
