NHL ROUNDUP : Goulet Takes Scary Fall at Montreal

Michel Goulet of the Chicago Blackhawks regained full movement of his limbs after crashing into the boards during a a 5-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night at Montreal.

Goulet, 33, broke down the left side and partially fanned on a shot before he lost his footing and fell into the end boards 6:01 into the game. He had not been touched by an opposing player.

He was carried from the Forum ice on a stretcher and taken to a hospital with a concussion.

Initially, a Canadien team doctor said Goulet was unable to speak and opened his eyes only after he had been carried off the ice.

Later, a Canadien spokesman said Goulet was moving his limbs. He kept overnight for observation.
