STYLE : MEN’S SPRING FASHION : Parallel Lines

Share

Menswear designers have long licensed large corporations to produce accessories and moderately priced clothing bearing their names. Secondary lines, or fashions created by the designers’ own in-house teams, are a more recent development.

With more direct input in these alternative lines, designers now bring elements of inventive, high-end fashion within reach of a younger, slightly less affluent customer.

Designers’ collections will always set the pace, but this spring, secondary lines also provide some of the best styles of the season--loosely woven sweaters, drawstring pants, vintage and workwear looks.
