Interpore Device OKd: Interpore International has received some long-awaited news from the federal government.

After waiting for almost two years, Interpore, a maker of artificial bone and dental materials, received word from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday that it can sell an implantable device to dentists.

The device is a three-millimeter-wide pole that is embedded in a patient’s jawbone and used to anchor artificial teeth to the gum line, making dentures obsolete.
