Virgin Interactive’s IPO Postponed: Virgin Interactive Entertainment PLC’s initial public offering of 16% of its shares has been “indefinitely postponed,” according to CS First Boston, the underwriting syndicate that was to have managed the offer. Virgin officials said that over the last few days the firm was approached by two major companies with separate proposals to take substantial strategic stakes in its fast-growing business. They said the IPO was postponed in order to evaluate the proposals. Virgin’s Irvine-based American arm is considered one of the best-positioned game publishers.
