7 Spectrum Directors Resign: In a shift to outside control of the troubled wireless data communications company, seven of 11 board members of New York-based Spectrum Information Technologies Inc. quit. The company plans to shrink the board to seven members by filling just three of the vacancies--all with directors who aren’t company employees. Among the departures are three outside directors and four Spectrum executives, including company President Peter T. Caserta, who took an indefinite leave of absence to clear his name after the arrests of five associates.
