YORBA LINDA : Forum to Address Health Care Reform
The League of Women Voters of Orange County will hold a free educational forum on the various health care reform proposals Wednesday at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace.
The forum, “Citizens’ Voice for Citizens’ Choice: A Campaign for a Public Voice on Health Care,” will explain the various health care plans being considered by Congress and the potential impact each may have on people’s lives, league members said.
“We want people to understand their options so they can make their voices heard as to what they want in the way of health care reform,” said Marilyn Dettmann, a league spokeswoman. “We’re not promoting advocacy on any reform plan. Our purpose is to educate.”
Local congressional representatives will be at the meeting and will take questions from the audience, expected to reach 900 people. Those interested in attending must make reservations by calling (714) 647-7101.
