Architects Calvin C. Straub, FAIA, and Donald C. Hensman, FAIA, will be honored as the 1994 distinguished alumni of the USC School of Architecture at the annual dinner of the school’s Architectural Guild.

A memorial tribute to architect Conrad Buff III, a former partner of Straub and Hensman who died in 1988, will be a part of the April 19 program.

“Every California architect educated after the early ‘50s has been influenced by the work of Buff, Straub and Hensman,” said Victor Regnier, dean of the USC School of Architecture. The three men were influential in the invention of new architectural forms, Regnier said. “Their legacy extends from the Case Study House program to the development of post-and-beam construction,” he said.
