THEY’RE PLAYING HER SONG

Line dancing has revived the old country-Western dancing traditions, and has given formerly undanceable tunes a whole new market (“The Teutonic Two-Step Blues,” Palm Latitudes, March 6). Having lived through the Twist, the Jerk and too many years of polyester-clad disco, I’m glad there is line dancing. No more do I fear being slammed into or tripping over someone spinning on his back on the dance floor.

Not since the Bunny-Hop has a dance brought so many people back to dance floors everywhere. If those so-called country-Western musicians want to fill concert seats, their music had better be easy to listen to and easy to dance to.
