MISSION VIEJO : Connector Road Will Be Discussed

Share

Orange County’s Environmental Management Agency will hold a public meeting next Wednesday to discuss its plans to build a four-mile connector road in the Horno section of South County near Mission Viejo.

The connector road--the last leg of the master-planned Antonio Parkway project--will connect Oso Parkway to Ortega Highway.

The road will be built on grazing land owned by the Santa Margarita Co. When completed, Antonio Parkway is expected to relieve congestion on Interstate 5, according to county officials.

At the meeting, county officials will present preliminary plans as well as listen to community concerns about the project. A start date for construction has not yet been determined.
