‘The Fear Inside’

Share

Two psycho lovers, Dylan McDermott and Jennifer Rubin, terrorize a woman, Christine Lahti (left, with Rubin) who suffers from agoraphobia in this 1992 cable production. A cut or two above most suspense stories because of the gripping performances under Leon Ichaso’s direction and a script (by David Birke) that puts a twist on the old premise of a victim trapped in her house. Posing as brother and sister, McDermott and Rubin ingratiate themselves into Lahti’s life and her spacious, isolated home. Recently separated, she is seeking companionship to alleviate her irrational fear of the outdoors (USA Thursday at 9 p.m.).
