The United States will play Saudi Arabia in an exhibition game May 25 in Piscataway, N.J., in a World Cup tuneup for both teams. The game at Rutgers Stadium will be the second in a three-game East Coast swing for the U.S. team

The Americans play Bayern Munich of Germany on May 21 at Cleveland Stadium. After the Saudi game, the United States plays Greece on May 28 at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Conn.

Miscellany

Christa Gannon, a women’s basketball player at Santa Barbara, and Randal Pinkett, a track athlete at Rutgers, were selected for this year’s NCAA Walter Byers Scholarships, worth $10,000 each.
