The daughter of U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer said her White House wedding to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s brother is “going to be a kick.”

The wedding of Nicole Boxer and Anthony Rodham will be the first to be held in the White House since Tricia Nixon married Edward Finch Cox on June 12, 1971.

The nuptials are set for May 28, but a lot of the details have yet to be worked out. The invitations have not even been mailed, said Nicole Boxer, 26.

“I know I’ll be pretty excited when the day comes, but I’ve been really cool about it so far,” she told the Marin Independent Journal.

Nicole Boxer, of Marin, is vice president in charge of development at Fried Films in Los Angeles. Rodham, 38, works for the Democratic Party.

The ceremony will be performed by Judge Peter Capua of Miami; a Methodist minister and rabbi also will take part. President Clinton and the First Lady will attend.

There will be a post-wedding reception for the 250 guests, but the couple “haven’t gotten to a menu yet, because the White House just changed chefs,” the bride-to-be said.

“When you have events at the White House you are not allowed to bring food in from the outside, ever,” she added.
