Hawaii Downs Northridge, 13-7
Hawaii, fielding a team of gap hitters, found all the alleys Saturday night and rolled to a 13-7 victory over Cal State Northridge in a Western Athletic Conference game before 2,956 at Rainbow Stadium.
Hawaii (23-20, 5-9 in conference play) jumped to a 2-0 lead in the second against Aaron D’Aoust on doubles by Jason Ross and Sy Farinas.
In the third, Corey Ishigo’s double to right-center drove in two runs as Hawaii scored four times for a 6-0 lead.
Northridge had beaten Hawaii seven consecutive times entering the game, but managed only one hit through three innings.
