Truckers, Teamsters Resume Talks: Negotiators for the Teamsters union and trucking firms resumed negotiations in an effort to resolve a 12-day strike involving 70,000 workers. Talks broke off March 31 over management proposals to hire more part-time workers at truck terminals, move more freight by railroads and use binding arbitration to settle contract disputes.
