Crime Is Real Issue in City Name Change
* Scott Harris in his column “A Community in Search of a Reputation” (March 20) and the writer of “Winnetka: Residents Seek to Change Area’s Name” (March 15) missed the point.
When any neighborhood puts energy into trying to keep itself safe from crime, it deserves praise. It should not be held up to ridicule.
Whether or not a name change is the way to go, the real issue of crime was deserving of discussion. I, for one, am disappointed.
