Nominees Sought for Job Training Council

Share

The Job Training Policy Council of Ventura County, a nonprofit corporation that administers job training and placement programs for unemployed workers, is seeking nominations for four openings on the council.

Council members make decisions on the allocation of federal funds and oversee operation of programs that use the money.

This year, the council is responsible for more than $10 million in federal funds, corporation officials said.

The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will select the four council members from among the nominees, who should be private-sector business leaders, officials said.
