Coaches Get Peek at Peete in Workout

Rodney Peete, former USC and Detroit Lion quarterback, worked out for the Ram coaching staff Monday.

Peete, who is considered a prime candidate to back up Troy Aikman in Dallas, is one of three quarterbacks being auditioned this week by the Rams as a potential understudy to Chris Miller. Indianapolis’ Jack Trudeau and Phoenix’s Chris Chandler will also work out.

In addition, the team will take a look at New Orleans cornerback Toi Cook, who attended Stanford and Montclair Prep in Van Nuys.

The Rams announced the signing of guard Jeff Pahukoa, an unrestricted free agent who started three games for them last season.
