A fair designed to help potential home buyers in the low- to moderate-income bracket will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Admittance is free.
Sponsored by the Southern California Mortgage Bankers Assn., HUD and the National Assn. of Real Estate Brokers, the fair will feature more than 75 exhibitors and various seminars. Bilingual assistance and children’s activities also will be provided.
“We believe it is important to help Los Angeles area residents realize their dream of buying their own home,” said Ralph Mozilo, president of the Mortgage Bankers Assn. “Many feel intimidated or discouraged by the lending process and monetary commitment associated with buying a home.”
The fair will provide attendees with practical, hands-on information from local lenders, credit counselors and representatives of governmental agencies and nonprofit groups.
