Defensive end Robert Young agreed to terms on a three-year, $3.5-million contract with the Rams and expects to sign in the next few days, said his agent, Steve Feldman.

Young, a restricted free agent, accepted the offer made Monday by the Rams. He earned the NFL-minimum $150,000 for a third-year player last season but will receive a substantial raise after emerging as one of the team’s top pass rushers.

Young, 25, had seven sacks in the first four weeks of the season before injuring his knee against New Orleans and later undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

The Rams also signed free-agent receiver Greg McMurtry to a one-year contract worth $500,000. McMurtry, 6 feet 2 and 210 pounds, caught 22 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown last season for the New England Patriots.
