Company Town : Atlantic to Name Ex-Sony Exec to Top Sales Job

Former Sony Music executive Pete Anderson is expected to be named today as vice president of sales for Atlantic Records.

Anderson will oversee the daily operations of Atlantic’s sales business both nationally and regionally. Anderson most recently was Sony Music’s Los Angeles branch manager. He also is the former vice president of sales at Sony’s Epic Records unit, overseeing sales of such artists as Pearl Jam and Celine Dion.

* Former LIVE entertainment executive David Penner was named chief financial officer for Malibu Comics.

* Joanie Kamuca has been named vice president and general manager, East Coast administration, for MCA Music Entertainment Group. Separately, Fred Silber was named vice president of business affairs for MCA Music Publishing.

* Maria Isabel Perez has joined USA Networks as publicist, corporate andmedia relations.

* Sara Colleton, a producer on the upcoming film “Renaissance Man,” has entered a long-term production arrangement with Touchstone Pictures.

* MCA Music named Gayle Moore vice president of financial administration. Separately, MCA’s Winterland Productions named John Crist vice president of sales and John Barrows senior vice president of sales and marketing.
