Philanthropy: Loyola Gets Grant

Share

Loyola Marymount University has received a $10-million foundation grant to build an underground parking structure, a playing field and additional student housing on 27.5 acres of land next to the university’s main Westchester campus.

The grant was made by the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Foundation of Los Angeles. A $2-million donation from the foundation in 1982 allowed the university to purchase land for the expansion project. The property is between Lincoln Boulevard and the western edge of the main campus.
