Child Safety Seats Recalled: Federal officials say the seats don’t meet fire resistance standards. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall involves 5,000 Renolux seats made by FBS Inc. of Greer, S.C., and 163,892 Dream Ride seats made by Cosco Inc. of Columbus, Ind. But the agency urged parents to keep using the seats until replacements are obtained. The manufacturers are recalling the seats because the cover material does not meet federal fire safety standards, the agency said. The Renolux seat recall involves models GT2000, GT4000, GT5000, GT5500 and GT7000 with blue tweed seat covers made between 1989 and 1993. The Cosco seats bear the model number 02-719-ARQ and were made between 1989 and 1994.
