Harrelson’s Hat Trick

Share

I usually watch with some amusement as The Times’ Calendar section lurches about in its usual schizoid quest-- Are we a Hollywood trade magazine ? Are we the West Coast Spy ?--but once in a while it might do you some good to remember that you are, above all, a family newspaper.

One of those times would certainly be last Sunday’s Film Clip that seemed to exist for no other good reason than to gleefully inform us that Woody Harrelson is particularly well-endowed. I mean, I kept waiting for you to write, “Why do you think they call him ‘Woody’?”

What’s next, a cover story called “The Long and the Short of It,” featuring comparisons of young stars of the day with such “classics” as Forrest Tucker and Milton Berle?
