Food Donations Brighten Day

In the 13 years I’ve been a letter carrier here, I’ve never enjoyed my job as much as I did on Saturday, May 14.

On that day I saw firsthand the generosity you people showed by leaving your non-perishable goods at your mailbox.

In our office alone, I saw large hampers full of food, at least enough to fill a large semitrailer. And that’s just our office!

Imagine how much food was donated to our food banks in our communities from Long Beach to San Clemente.

I’ve never seen such teamwork. What a major accomplishment!
