Ahmanson a Bad Plan
The irony of urban planner William Fulton (“Writer Pens Critiques of County Projects,” May 16) listing Ventura County’s Guidelines for Orderly Development as one of our county’s best planning decisions and at the same time supporting a glaring breach of these guidelines indicates he is more urban than planner.
Justifying Ahmanson City, a massive encroachment into natural open space, because he believes it is inevitable defies the intent and contents of our guidelines and plans, which would allow only ranches on these lands. In fact, Ahmanson City will be an extension of Warner Center into Ventura County and is one of the worst planning decisions in Ventura County.
