California IN BRIEF : SAN DIEGO : 3 Men, 346 Pounds of Cocaine Seized

The U.S. Border Patrol announced that agents seized 346 pounds of cocaine worth $11 million and arrested three suspected smugglers in a sparsely populated area 30 miles southeast of San Diego. The three were seen on foot hauling seven large duffel bags over the hills near Dulzura, five miles north of the Mexican border, Border Patrol officials said. After a brief chase, the three unarmed men, all Mexican nationals, were arrested.
