WESTLAKE VILLAGE : Artists’ Sales to Aid Cancer Support Unit

Share

Local artists will set up their easels and sell their work Sunday on a Westlake Village tennis court to raise money for a cancer support group.

As part of a continuing fund-raiser, the Wellness Community Valley / Ventura is sponsoring the art show on the grounds of the Emerald Forest Design House.

The house, a French chateau decorated by renowned designers and overlooking the North Ranch Country Club, has already drawn nearly 2,500 visitors since it opened in early May. The $15 house tour ends June 5.

A portion of the art sale proceeds, as well as the ticket revenues, will go to support the Wellness Community.

The group is dedicated to helping cancer patients cope with their illnesses.

The house on Oxley Road is a five-bedroom mansion with a sweeping staircase and marble foyer.

Its rooms were finished by 16 California interior designers, including Tony Duquette and Hutton Wilkinson.

The art show runs from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and includes artist Neil Boyle and Mark Ivy.

The house tours begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Doors close at 4 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door or through Ticketmaster.

Groups can call 374-0022 for reservations.
