CALABASAS : City’s 1st Public Pool to Open at Center

Share

Less than five months after it was purchased by the city, the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center will open the town’s first public pool today.

The opening of the cleaned and repaired eight-lane pool marks the latest improvement at the formerly private center overlooking Lake Calabasas.

The city opened the center’s 14 tennis courts soon after purchasing the neglected, 8.3-acre facility in mid-January, and plans to open a snack bar near the pool by June 20. The opening of weight-training and exercise rooms could come as early as fall, said Community Services Director Greg Johnson.

Fees are $2 per day for adults and $1 per day for senior citizens and youths under 16. Children 3 and younger will be admitted free. Monthly rates are available.
