A Warning to Future Ram Fans

Share

The writers of this letter have been longtime Ram fans and season ticket-holders. We have watched a team rich with history, pride and leadership descend to a level of selfish disarray under the ownership of Georgia Frontiere and parsimony of John Shaw. We speak for a much larger group of Ram fans who still live and die with and support the team but who have had their enthusiasm and pride stripped away. There is no joy in being a Ram fan anymore.

The fans of Baltimore and St. Louis are understandably filled with great expectation and hope. Please be warned in advance, however, that in time your expectations and hopes will be dashed. Georgia and John will settle into your new stadiums, but ultimately, after they line their pockets, the Rams will seek more. They will rip your hearts out and move to another city that may offer a better deal.

If the Anaheim Rams or the Orange County Rhinos or whatever do, in fact, move to Pensacola, Baltimore or El Paso, will they still be known as the Los Angeles Rams?
