BURBANK : City to Ban Smoking at Public Facilities
The Burbank City Council has voted to ban smoking in all publicly owned and operated facilities as early as July.
The ban, approved in a 4-0 vote this week, prohibits people from lighting up in such facilities as City Hall and much of the Starlight Amphitheatre, in city-owned vehicles and within five feet of any entrance or exit to a municipal building. Ashtrays will soon be removed from municipal buildings and signs prohibiting smoking will be posted.
