Female lawmakers went after each other in Parliament Friday in a face-slapping, hair-pulling free-for-all.

The brawl was just the latest in a National Assembly known for its raucous sessions. Friday’s tussle was provoked when two members of the ruling Nationalist Party poked fun at opposition lawmaker Su Chih-yang for propping up her legs on a desk and letting her underwear show.

“As a woman you should also watch your own behavior,” Nationalist Assemblywoman Kuo Su-chun berated Su.

Su then walked to the podium and slapped Kuo in the face.

Four other women then began pulling and pushing each other. A fifth collapsed and was hospitalized with high blood pressure after she tried to stop the fight.
