You Deserve Some Grits Today
Bloomberg Business News
When in the South, do as Southerners do: Eat grits for breakfast. In a handful of Mississippi outlets, McDonald’s Corp. is test-marketing grits.
“They taste pretty good,” said Volanda Williams, spooning down a cup of grits along with an Egg McMuffin at the McDonald’s in Forest, Miss. “They taste better at home, of course.”
For the non-cognoscenti, grits are oats that have been husked but not ground. “McGrits” cost 49 cents a cup.
