PASADENA : Tax Won’t Be Imposed on Brookside Golfers
To applause by local golfers, the City Council on Monday rejected a proposal to extend the Rose Bowl admission tax to other events in the Arroyo Seco, including rounds of golf at the city-owned Brookside Country Club.
After hearing from golfers opposing the $1 raise in green fees and after receiving a letter of opposition from the firm that runs the course for the city, the council voted to 5 to 1 against the proposal.
