MISSION VIEJO : Big Send-Off Set for Soccer Team
- Share via
It’s last call for soccer fans who want to see the U.S. National Team players before they head to Los Angeles to take on Switzerland June 18 in the World Cup.
The Mission Viejo Soccer Foundation will give the team an official send-off tonight at the Mission Viejo Mall. There will be dancing, food and entertainment.
The black-tie optional Black & White Ball will run from 8:30 p.m. to midnight, and costs $35. Todd Donoho of ABC Sports will emcee.
The U.S. players and coaches will be on hand.
Goalkeeper Tony Meola said it is sad to leave Mission Viejo, which he said has given all the players a warm welcome. “The ball will be fun. I’ll miss all the friends I made here,” he said.
For tickets, call (714) 975-8309.
