Positive Response Television, a Sherman Oaks producer of infomercials, reported a first-quarter profit of $209,000, against a loss of $164,000 a year earlier, on sharply higher revenue.
For the three months ended March 31, the company posted revenue of $3.12 million, up from $302,000 in the same quarter a year earlier. The company, which completed an initial public offering in early May, said its revenue was boosted by, among other things, the sale of the company’s products over the Home Shopping Network.
