NATION IN BRIEF : VIRGINIA : Abortion Clinic Access Law Upheld

A federal judge rejected an anti-abortion group’s arguments and upheld a new law that bars protesters from blocking the entrances of abortion clinics. U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema of Alexandria rejected the claim of the American Life League Inc. that the law is too vague and violates the right of free speech. The ruling was the first to come out of several challenges that anti-abortion activists have filed against the law.
