A survey of coaches of 24 World Cup teams and about 50 players by Italy’s largest sports daily, Gazzetta dello Sport, predicted Brazil as the winner of the 1994 event, following a possible final with defending champion Germany.
Italy would finish in the top four, along with Colombia. Brazilian forward Romario and Italy’s Roberto Baggio would be the outstanding players, the survey showed.
