Warren G. Muscles In

Share

Of all the artists on the “Above the Rim” soundtrack, rapper Warren G. was the biggest scorer, connecting with “Regulate”--recorded with Nate Dogg--which is No. 2 on the Time’s Southern California pop singles chart. Warren G. parlayed that single into a hit debut album, “Regulate...G-Funk Era,” which entered the Southern California pop chart at No. 1. It also tops the regional and national editions of the rap and R&B; charts. Being the brother of Dr. Dre and pal of Snoop Doggy Dogg undoubtedly helped give Warren G. more clout than most rookie rappers.
