The hottest-selling item outside the Rose Bowl seemed to be bright yellow fright wigs in honor of Colombian midfielder Carlos Valderrama. Large groups of fans clad in yellow, blue and red were spotted wearing the wigs on the streets of Pasadena. The cost: $10.
According to one Colombian-American soccer fan, it’s a bargain.
“I’m buying some for my nephews,” he said, standing in line buying a hot dog after the first half. “It’s a better deal here. They sell for around $20 in Bogota.”
