The weather is a serious topic of discussion in Belgium because of the big temperature difference between Florida and a mostly cold and rainy Europe.

“Georges Grun and his partners are preparing to live through an inferno on the grill of Orlando’s Citrus Bowl campus,” the French-language daily Le Soir says in Brussels.

In a front-page story, Le Soir explains its surprise at the lack of enthusiasm in the World Cup among Americans, saying that ABC will show only 11 of the 52 World Cup matches. It adds: “Nonetheless, this 1994 World Cup is surely ‘on a planet scale’ the major event of this end of the century.”
