Plane Ferrying Marijuana Crashes During Chase

BLOWING ROCK, N.C. —
A small plane loaded with about 40 bales of marijuana crashed and burned in the mountains as authorities chased the pilot at extremely low altitudes.
Authorities found no trace of the pilot, and most of the marijuana was destroyed in the crash Sunday. Authorities believe the plane had traveled from Jamaica.
