Will Van Rhee, head of security at the Dutch Football Union, says in the Amsterdam daily De Volkskrant that the U.S. provides an example for what needs to be done in the Netherlands to prevent hooliganism.

“In the States, sports are just part of an evening out. You have a good seat; there is something to eat and something to drink. Good services, clean bathrooms, wide range of catering and a beautiful stadium. All that reduces unacceptable behavior.”
