Behind every great team there is an absolutely appalling goalkeeper.

I am not sure if we have seen a great team at this World Cup yet, but I am quite certain we have seen some dreadful goalkeepers. Why do they pick ‘em?

When you see a goalkeeper give a performance of genuine 24-carat awfulness, you have to wonder about his function in the team. It surely can’t be that of keeping the score down.

Tying in first place for the worst goalie of the World Cup so far are Joseph-Antoine Bell, of Cameroon, and Oscar Cordoba, of Colombia.
