Share

Surfers and swimmers can take city-sponsored buses to Zuma Beach from Calabasas, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village starting Monday.

A school bus will leave Westlake Village every morning except Sundays through Sept. 3, and make various stops in that city and Agoura Hills. Rides cost 50 cents.

Calabasas is offering free trips four times every day except Sundays from Calabasas High School to Zuma Beach, with five stops in between.

“People are thrilled about it,” said Amy Jones, recreation coordinator for Calabasas. “We’re seeing people of all ages taking the bus: teen-agers, adults, and we’re even starting to get some seniors.” Buses will also be available to bring summer school students from Westlake Village and Agoura Hills to Calabasas High School.

For information about schedules and tickets, call Westlake Village City Hall at (818) 706-1613, Agoura Hills City Hall at (818) 597-7300 or Calabasas City Hall at (818) 878-4225.
